About the wine.
Full-bodied with excellent tannins. Full-bodied with great tannins, yet well-balanced structure, it can be stored for 5 to 10 years. Classic red wine vinification with long extraction for 5 days. The entire vinification process, from cold maceration prior to fermentation to the completion of fermentation, is temperature-controlled. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (70% new, 30% used) and 6 months in bottle. Aromas of red fruit, eucalyptus, and a hint of green pepper. Firm structure, well balanced, velvety texture. Serve at 16-18°C with savory dishes such as curry, pizza, grilled meat, roast chicken, lasagna, T-bone steak, and pasta with wine-stewed sauce.

It has a well-balanced flavor with aromas of green pepper and eucalyptus.
[About Agiorgitiko].
Agiorgitiko is a fascinating grape variety that captivates the senses with its elegant, fresh and intense aromas and flavors. Although it is a black grape variety, it is often referred to as a "multi-dynamic" variety because of its ability to produce a wide range of styles, from crisp rosés to concentrated sweet wines.
Young Agiorgitiko wines are moderately dark purplish-red in color, with intense aromas of fresh red fruit, medium acidity and soft tannins. Those aged in oak are darker in color and have more concentrated and complex aromas of red fruits. The taste is rich, with fine, ripe tannins. In addition, the variety is capable of producing other styles of wine, such as a great rosé and a stunning dessert wine made from sun-dried grapes, which is sometimes compared to Sangiovese. Agiorgitiko is a grape from PDO Nemea, the largest red wine appellation in Greece. Agiorgitiko used to be grown only in Nemea and surrounding areas, but due to its high quality, many producers are now growing it in Macedonia and other parts of the Peloponnese.

Agiorgitiko is one of the two major red wine varieties in Greece, along with Cusinomavro.
About the winery.
Yannis and Amalia Tserepos chose an earthy hill on the outskirts of the historic Mount Parnonas to plant their vineyard and established Koutima Tserepos in 1989. The estate is located on the southeastern edge of the Mantinian Plateau at an altitude of 750 meters. Yannis Tserepos graduated in oenology from the University of Dijon, France, and after two years of experience at a winery in Burgundy, he settled in Mantinia in 1981 and has been producing wine since that time.

Winemaker Yannis Tserepos.
The main philosophy of the winery is to establish a presence in the Greek and international market by researching, experimenting and showing all the possibilities of the Moschofilero variety. Today, Ktima Tserepos has 45 hectares of privately owned vineyards and 20 hectares of cooperating growers. Kutima Tserepos is meticulous in its viticultural practices and terroir management to ensure that the varietals reach their highest expression. Since its inception, the company has succeeded in balancing tradition with the use of new technologies to improve the quality of its wines. The work in the vineyards is done mainly by hand by staff who understand the different needs of each variety, but at the same time, there has been a transition to special technical procedures for "precision viticulture" using technology (e.g. the use of drones for mapping the vineyards, the use of the raw materials in a more efficient manner).
